Introduction:

• This project builds on the findings of the two needs assessment research conducted by EHF UK in February and April 2008;
• The project also takes on board the current trends in young people’s HIV and STI epidemiological trends (with special reference to both urban and rural areas) of young women;



• The project is equally informed from the department of Health and SACA’s implementation of the HIV state sexual health strategy with particular reference to stakeholders service framework and configuration allied to STI/HIV prevention, care and support services;
• The project is informed by the emerging research evidence of young people’s socio-sexual relations.
